SkyStar-4 Omicom DVB-S2 PCI Installation and Setup

After installing DVB-receiver, install drivers from the included CD.

Stert ss4setup.exe to install drivers.

Then start ss4ip.exe to install DVB-IP software called Omicom IP Server.

Installing driver from %Program Files%\SkyStar4\MPEDriver\MPEVirtual.inf may be needed.

Start Omicom IP Server

We need to create a new profile for further setup. To do this click "NEW" and fill out "Tuner Setting" forms.

Frequency - transponder frequency

SymbolRate - transponder symbol rate

LNBLow and LNBHi - LNB settings (located on LNB itself)

Polarity - Polarity

When using DVB-S2 make sure you have DVBS2 checkbox active and chhose modulation Modu and FEC according to transponder settings.

Then click "Lock TP". If all settings are entered correctly, you'll see signal level and quality bars active.

Then click "Save" and enter satellite name and position.

Then click "ОК".

Next step is IP Over DVB tab.

Enter PID in PID value in decimal numeral system (make sure 'Hex' checkbox is removed), then click Insert PID

Setup is finished!

We need to know MAC-address which can be found in MAC Filter tab.
